About Walt Disney Studios
Walt Disney Studios is the film production arm of The Walt Disney Company, tracing back to the animation studio Walt and Roy Disney founded in 1923. What began with short cartoons and Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, the first full-length cel-animated feature, has grown into a sprawling production house whose releases now also carry the Pixar, Marvel Studios, Lucasfilm, and 20th Century Studios banners.
Beyond its own animated and live-action slate, Walt Disney Studios distributes films for Disney's other production labels, making it one of the most consistently dominant studios at the global box office in any given year, alongside powering Disney+ with original and library film content.
