About Disney+
Disney+ launched in November 2019 as The Walt Disney Company's direct-to-consumer streaming service, built around its owned franchise libraries: Disney animation, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, and National Geographic. It has since become the primary home for new Marvel Studios and Lucasfilm television series.
In several international markets, Disney+ also hosts a general-entertainment content hub (branded Star in most regions) carrying more mature content from 20th Century Studios and other Disney-owned labels that doesn't fit the service's family-oriented core branding in the U.S.
