The Family Guy Halloween special sends Brian and Stewie to hell to answer for “24 seasons’ worth of bad behavior,” according to Hulu. “Happy Hell-o-ween” premieres Monday, Oct. 5, on Hulu, and TVLine shared an exclusive first look at the scene that explains why.
Family Guy Halloween Special: The Devil’s Rap Sheet
In the clip, Kieran Culkin’s Devil reads through a list of past misdeeds. Stewie is called out for framing a babysitter and trying to drown Chris, TVLine reported. Brian is questioned for abandoning his wife, though the Devil seems to go easier on him.
Culkin, known for “Succession,” voices the Devil. Series creator Seth MacFarlane voices both Brian and Stewie. For more on the casting, read our report on the Kieran Culkin Family Guy Devil role.
What Happens After Brian and Stewie Land in Hell
Hulu announced the special during the show’s San Diego Comic-Con panel this summer. Its synopsis says the pair annoy the Devil so much that they end up running the underworld. TVLine’s clip covers only the setup, so the fallout is left for the full episode.
The Family Guy Halloween special streams on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+. It is the third straight year Family Guy has received a Hulu-exclusive holiday special, according to Laughing Place.
Another Hulu holiday special, “The Peter Clause,” follows later this year. Season 25 of Family Guy returns to Fox in 2027, and a Stewie spinoff about the character’s preschool years is in development, according to Laughing Place.
MacFarlane also leads the voice cast in our report on the Ted animated series cast. For more to watch this month, see our October 2026 streaming picks.
