The Amazon Prime gas discount doubles to 20 cents per gallon every Friday from Oct. 2 through Jan. 29, 2027, according to Amazon. The extra 10 cents stacks on top of the year-round Prime fuel perk, which Amazon says is worth 10 cents per gallon.
The offer is part of what Amazon calls its Fuel Up Fridays holiday promotion. It applies at participating BP, Amoco, ampm and Thorntons stations, Amazon said on its Prime fuel savings page. Amazon lists more than 7,500 participating locations across the country.
How the Amazon Prime gas discount works
Members need an active Prime membership and a free earnify account. Amazon says members redeem the savings through the earnify app.
The Friday bonus has one limit. Amazon says each member gets one fuel purchase per Friday at the higher rate. On other days of the week, the regular 10-cent Prime discount still applies.
Those numbers are small on a single fill-up. A 12-gallon purchase would save $2.40 on a Friday, compared with $1.20 on any other day. Over the 18 Fridays in the promotion, that gap adds up for frequent drivers. Amazon estimates the average U.S. Prime member saves about $70 a year on fuel.
Sharing the savings with your household
Amazon says households can double the savings when two Prime members, each with a separate earnify account, each make one fuel purchase on a Friday.
Holiday Fridays that qualify
The promotion window covers several of the busiest travel days of the season. Fridays on the calendar include Nov. 27, the day after Thanksgiving, as well as Dec. 25 and Jan. 1. Drivers who plan holiday trips around those dates could pair a full tank with the Amazon Prime gas discount.
Not every station near you will take part, so check before you drive out of your way. For the Amazon Prime gas discount, Amazon says the offer works only at participating BP, Amoco, ampm and Thorntons locations, and members find them through the earnify app.
