Studio Ghibli movies, the legendary Japanese animation studio behind Spirited Away and more.
About Studio Ghibli
Studio Ghibli is a Japanese animation studio founded in 1985 by directors Hayao Miyazaki and Isao Takahata along with producer Toshio Suzuki. Renowned for richly hand-drawn worlds and emotionally resonant storytelling, Ghibli has become one of the most acclaimed and influential animation studios in the world, with Spirited Away winning the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature in 2003.
Ghibli's films often blend fantasy with grounded human themes, environmentalism, and coming-of-age stories, and the studio has maintained a distinctive, largely traditional animation style even as computer animation became the industry standard elsewhere.
