The Hootie Frutti remix is here. KATSEYE released a Pedro Sampaio version of the song on Friday, Oct. 2, leaning into Brazilian baile funk with heavier bass and punchier drums, Billboard reported. Funk artist Mc Gw and producer Clementaum are featured.
Hootie Frutti Remix: What Changed
The remix keeps the original’s Brazilian flavor, adding a Portuguese-language introduction, heavier bass and punchier drums, according to IBTimes. Mc Gw’s low, gritty vocals contrast with the group’s polished performance. Pedro Sampaio, a Brazilian DJ and producer, led the remix. The original video topped 100 million YouTube views in 40 days, the group’s fastest mark, Sports Kyunghyang reported.
The original song came out Aug. 14 on KATSEYE’s EP “WILD,” via HYBE and Geffen Records. It peaked at No. 31 on the Billboard Hot 100 and debuted at No. 16 on the UK Official Singles Chart. “WILD” opened at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.
