A New Moon in Libra lands in your 10th house of career, reputation and public life on Oct. 10, 2026, giving Capricorn a fresh starting point for professional goals. The Moon joins the Sun in Libra at 17 degrees, forming a tight conjunction that marks the official New Moon at 11:50 a.m. ET, according to Astronomy Engine data.
With both luminaries in your career house, this is one of the more pointed days of the month for Capricorn’s public standing. Mercury and Venus sit together in Scorpio in your 11th house of friends and future hopes, with Venus still retrograde, while Mars and Jupiter share Leo in your 8th house of intimacy and shared resources. The New Moon favors setting intentions rather than forcing conclusions, since new moons mark beginnings in astrological tradition.
What The New Moon In Libra Means For Capricorn
The Sun and Moon both sit at 17 degrees Libra in your 10th house, the zone tied to career, public reputation and long-term ambition. A New Moon here traditionally signals a chance to plant seeds around a job goal, a reputation shift or a new direction in your working life. For Capricorn, a sign that already takes career seriously, this lunar reset asks you to name what you actually want next rather than simply grinding forward.
Love And Relationships
Venus remains retrograde in Scorpio within your 11th house of friends, groups and future hopes, sitting at 7 degrees and squared by Mars in Leo at 7 degrees in your 8th house. That square can stir friction between what you want from a partner and what feels emotionally exposed. Venus retrograde periods are often read as a time to revisit old connections rather than launch new ones, so use today to reflect on an existing bond instead of forcing a big romantic move.
Career And Money
This is the day’s headline placement for Capricorn. With the New Moon conjunct the Sun in your 10th house, professional matters take center stage, and Mercury in Scorpio in your 11th house keeps your mind on networking and long-range goals. Pluto, retrograde in Aquarius, sits in your 2nd house of money and self-worth at 3 degrees, a reminder that financial decisions made now connect to deeper questions about value and security rather than quick wins.
Health And Wellbeing
Uranus, retrograde in Gemini, occupies your 6th house of daily work, routines and service at 5 degrees. That placement can make a daily schedule feel restless or due for a change. Consider small, flexible adjustments to your routine rather than a complete overhaul, and talk to a doctor or other health professional before changing any exercise or wellness plan.
Capricorn Tip For Saturday
Write down one specific career intention tied to today’s New Moon in Libra, something concrete enough to revisit in the coming weeks. Keep the ask practical given Saturn’s retrograde placement in your 4th house, which favors patience over sudden pivots at home or in family matters.
