Avatar Chibi Minis is back with a new episode starring Aang, Katara and King Bumi, CBR reported. The episode, “Aang & Katara’s Death-Defying Race!,” debuted this week on the franchise’s official YouTube channel.
Avatar Chibi Minis episode details
- Episode title: “Aang & Katara’s Death-Defying Race!”
- Platform: Official Avatar: The Last Airbender YouTube channel
- Cost: Free to watch
Avatar Chibi Minis is a lighthearted, chibi-style take on moments from Avatar: The Last Airbender. Earlier episodes have revisited showdowns such as Aang versus Zuko and Katara versus Jet.
What happens in the new episode
King Bumi challenges Aang and Katara to a race through Omashu’s mail delivery system, on the city’s famous super slide, according to NickALive. The contest takes a turn for the worse when Zuko steps in. Some packages get lost in the chaos.
What’s next for the Avatar universe
While Chibi Minis looks back at the original gang, the franchise’s next big chapter is much darker. Avatar: Seven Havens premieres Oct. 9 on Paramount+, Cartoon Brew reported. It follows Pavi, a young Earthbender who learns she is Korra’s successor, in a world where civilization survives in seven remaining havens.
The show is set roughly 225 years after The Legend of Korra, according to Inverse. Co-creator Michael Dante DiMartino said the team wanted it to be more of a mystery than the last two series.
