There Are No Ghosts at the Grand – A Creative Supernatural Experience

In There Are No Ghosts at the Grand, you have inherited a fancy hotel from your father, and you are tasked with restoring it to its former glory. However, the hotel also happens to be haunted, but don’t worry – you have a talking cat to assist you through your journey. The gameplay trailer dropped at Summer Game Fest, and it looks to be a surreal, fascinating experience.

There Are No Ghosts at the Grand Trailer

The trailer revealed at Summer Game Fest begins innocently enough. Your father just died, and you have inherited his abandoned hotel, the Grand, along with his cat. Then, all of a sudden, a ghostly old man appears and starts singing a soul tune as the setting shifts into what the hotel was like in its glory days. In a first-person perspective, you can use a gun-like tool to revamp the hotel, designing it as you like while interacting with the ghosts.

That Sounds Fun!

Yes, it does, but there’s even more. As the trailer progresses, you are thrust into the supernatural world, which is a surreal dimension full of abstract visuals. Now, you must use your gun-like device to platform your way through the alternate dimension. Oh, the cat can talk now, and he says that he is the only one you can trust. Of course, why wouldn’t we trust a talking cat to help get us through a weird dimension? As any Coraline fan can tell you, talking cats are the voice of reason when you’re trapped in another world.

Conclusion

There Are No Ghosts at the Grand looks amazing. It looks like it will be a combination of a simulation game where you can flex your creative muscles and a surreal puzzle platformer where you can test your reflexes. If you enjoy weird supernatural stories, give this game a look. It is set to release in 2026.
