Star Wars Galactic Racer launches Oct. 6 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC, with a standard edition priced at $59.99. The racing game is the debut from Fuse Games, a studio founded in 2023 by former Criterion Games leads.

Secret Mode is publishing the game. The standard edition costs $59.99 and a Deluxe Edition costs $79.99, according to the Steam store page. CGMagazine also lists a physical Collector’s Edition at $159.99 and said the game was announced at The Game Awards 2025.
The game is a runs-based racing adventure set after the fall of the Galactic Empire. Players take the role of Shade, a lone racer in an underground, unsanctioned circuit. Vehicles include landspeeders, speeder bikes, skim speeders and podracers. The game has a story-driven campaign and online PvP.
Fuse Games CEO heads to Middlesbrough
Fuse Games CEO Matt Webster will discuss the game’s development nine days after launch at Game Republic New Horizons on Oct. 15 at Riverside Stadium in Middlesbrough, England. Andy Robinson of VGC will interview him, VGC reported.
Webster called Star Wars Galactic Racer “a passion project” and said he is excited to share the team’s development journey with attendees. James Schall of Secret Mode said the game is an incredible project to be involved with.
Other Game Republic New Horizons sessions
Ken Kutaragi, known as the father of PlayStation, will give a keynote in conversation with Chris Dring of The Game Business. IO Interactive CEO Hakan Abrak will discuss the James Bond game 007 First Light with Jane Douglas of Outside Xbox, VGC reported.
The conference will also include an Investment Zone with public funders including the BFI, Arts Council and Innovate UK, plus panels on angel investment.
