The calendar for December 2025 is already stacked, and it’s shaping up to be one of those years where your backlog becomes a black hole. According to PC Gamer and GamesRadar, the upcoming PC release schedule is a mix of blockbuster sequels, ambitious indies, and genre experiments that could either redefine the landscape or vanish into meme‑fuel obscurity.
The Big Names
The headline acts are impossible to ignore. Dragon Age: The Veilguard is finally stepping out of development limbo, promising BioWare’s return to form—or at least a shot at redemption. DOOM: The Dark Ages is id Software’s medieval spin on demon‑slaying, a brutal twist that could either be genius or gimmick. And then there’s Monster Hunter Wilds, Capcom’s next evolution of its co‑op juggernaut, already positioned as a 2025 tentpole.
Other heavyweights include Silent Hill 2 Remake, which has the horror crowd buzzing, and Star Wars Outlaws, Ubisoft’s open‑world gamble in a galaxy far, far away. These aren’t just releases—they’re cultural events waiting to happen.

Indie and Experimental
The indie scene is equally loaded. Hades II is the obvious crown jewel, with Supergiant expanding its roguelike masterpiece into a full sequel. Routine promises retro‑futurist horror, while The Plucky Squire blends storybook whimsy with genre‑bending mechanics. These are the kinds of games that can steal the spotlight from the giants if they land right.
