5 Worst Super Bowl 2026 Commercials

The 2026 Super Bowl was chock-full of amazing commercials. Super Bowl ads are almost always clever, hilarious, and heartwarming. However, not all of them land. In fact, some Super Bowl commercials veer heavily into “What were they thinking? Do they really think this will sell the product?” territory. Here are five of the worst ads from the 2026 Super Bowl.

5 of the Worst Super Bowl Commercials of 2026

1. Yes, AI Will Take Your Job! Be Happy About It!

People are increasingly worried about AI replacing human jobs. So, what better way to advertise AI than to tell them that yes, AI is totally taking their jobs? In this Genspark commercial featuring Matthew Broderick, everybody is lazy on the day after the Super Bowl. So what’s the solution? Have Genspark do your job for you, of course! Why should these lazy humans do their jobs when AI can just do it for them? Enjoy unemployment, people! Several Super Bowl ads already utilized plenty of AI, so hammering it in that AI is taking jobs doesn’t exactly paint Genspark in a positive light.

2. Take a Look at the Singing Toilets Now

There’s a right way to do gross humor in commercials, and there’s a wrong way. This is the wrong way. This Liquid I.V. commercial features a bunch of toilets singing Phil Collins’ “Against All Odds,” begging the people who just used them to take a look at them. The commercial ends by telling the audience to take a look at their pee and make sure it’s yellow. If it isn’t, drink Liquid I.V. No thanks, you just made Liquid I.V. sound disgusting.

3. Fat-Shaming to Advertise Eating Well

This cringe-inducing PSA featuring Mike Tyson tells all the plus-sized people watching the Super Bowl that they are gross and disgusting. While the ad does get the point across that obesity can kill you and processed food isn’t good for you, Tyson tells Americans that we have “the most obese, fudgy people” in the world – during an event when a lot of people will be eating junk food. To say that this ad could have been less tone deaf is an understatement, even with Iron Mike Tyson telling us to eat healthy.

4. Your Singing Body Hair Misses You

Toilets weren’t the only gross things singing during the Super Bowl. In this Manscaped commercial, piles of body hair sing about how devastated they are to have been shaved off. You’d better like extreme close-ups of shaved body hair from less-loved body parts, because you’ll be getting a lot of it. Let’s hope you weren’t eating anything when this commercial aired – it just might spoil your appetite.

5. Backstreet Boys Karaoke Sells . . . Coinbase?

The Backstreet Boys did an awesome ad for T-Mobile during the Super Bowl, but their other ad didn’t land quite as well. This ad consists of nothing more than a karaoke sing-along of their song “Everybody (Backstreet’s Back).” The words appear on the screen while the song plays, and that’s the whole ad. Then it tells you to buy Coinbase. No, I don’t get the connection either. Is Coinbase really “back”?

Fortunately, These are the Exceptions

There were a lot of great ads during the Super Bowl. From a polar bear suffering a soft drink identity crisis to a nineties sitcom version of “Good Will Hunting,” the Super Bowl 2026 ads were largely gold. A few stinkers don’t change the fact that the Super Bowl will include some of the greatest commercials of the year. Every year, the commercials do more than just sell products. They invite the audience to laugh out loud and occasionally shed a tear while enjoying the game with friends and family.
