Takara Tomy revealed a Kiss Players 20th anniversary set of three Cassettetron toys on Oct. 2, with preorders opening the same day in Japan.

The Transformers Kiss Players 20th Anniversary Cassettetron Set includes the cassette robots Rosanna, Glit and Sundor, according to Hobby Watch. It also comes with an acrylic stand featuring new artwork by original character designer Yuki Oshima, a character card and a manual.

Kiss Players 20th anniversary set price and release

The set costs 6,600 yen, or roughly $42, and is scheduled for late March 2027. Takara Tomy is selling it through T-SPARK ZONE distribution in Japan, which includes Takara Tomy Mall. The packaging and card carry newly drawn anniversary illustrations.

The three robots were first created for a Kiss Players radio program collaboration in 2006 and 2007, the report said. Toy People noted the original international release bundled the three with Blaster, while this edition is sold on its own.

What Kiss Players means for collectors

Kiss Players remains one of the more unusual corners of Transformers history, and the anniversary set gives collectors a way to finish the cassette lineup. Takara Tomy has not detailed the molds used in the new set, and pricing outside Japan has not been announced.
