Idea Factory announced Sept. 30 that it is launching a new adventure game brand called IFChronicle, and its first project is the “Iconology” game, Anime News Network reported.

“Iconology” will launch for Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam, the publisher confirmed.

Who is making the ‘Iconology’ game

Idea Factory revealed the IFChronicle label alongside “Iconology” as its debut title. Teita, the character designer for “Charade Maniacs,” will illustrate the game, and “Psycho-Pass” writer Makoto Fukami is writing the scenario. Asami Saito is directing.

According to the company, IFChronicle is meant to be a global brand that expands the conversation around adventure games worldwide. Idea Factory’s other brands include Otomate, best known for otome games, and Compile Heart, the studio behind the “Neptunia” role-playing series.

‘Iconology’ manga starts Oct. 14

“Iconology” is also getting a manga. The adaptation begins Oct. 14 in Ichijinsha’s Comic Howl web magazine, drawn by Ichi Sayo, the artist behind “Monster and Parent.” The series is based on the original scenario by Fukami and Idea Factory.

What we don’t know yet about the ‘Iconology’ game
