Resident Evil Requiem – How to Get Infinite Ammo Full Guide

Resident Evil Requiem poster with Leon and Grace

One of the cool things about the new Resident Evil Requiem game is that it includes a classic Resident Evil game mechanic: you can unlock infinite ammo for your weapons. The devs have brought it back in this installment, so here’s a full guide to unlocking infinite ammo in Resident Evil Requiem.

Unlocking Infinite Ammo Full Guide

1. Finish the Main Story

Resident Evil Requiem is interesting because of the multiple endings you can achieve at the end of the story. Regardless of what ending you choose, finishing the story on any difficulty and letting the credits roll will unlock New Game+ and the Special Content menu. The Special Content menu will let you unlock bonus content for Resident Evil Requiem, and you can unlock the bonus content using challenge points (CP).

2. Farm Challenge Point (CP)

Challenge points (CP) can be accumulated by completing in-game challenges and objectives. For instance, beating the game on a greater difficulty, completing the main storyline in under 4 hours, and even crafting every possible item with Leon, will let you accumulate CP.

These challenges are the achievements you can get for all the completionists out there. For most players’ first playthroughs, you can get up to and around 10,000–15,000 CP, depending on the difficulty you play and what challenges you complete.

3. Purchase Infinite Ammo in the Special Content Menu

Once you’ve accumulated enough CP, scroll through the Special Content menu, and you’ll find the tab where you can purchase infinite ammo, which you’ll be able to unlock infinite ammo for every weapon you use. To purchase infinite ammo, you need at least 50,000 CP, so if you want to unlock infinite ammo quickly, I suggest completing challenges that give you a lot of CP, such as the Speed Demon, Never Touch the Stuff, or Minimalists challenges, each ranging between 20,000 and 35,000 CP.

However, these challenges are especially difficult, as is evident by how much CP you can get with each challenge, so I’ll only suggest completing these first if you’re confident you can complete them. Here are the different types of special content you can unlock:

  • Infinite ammo for all guns – 50,000 CP
  • Infinite ammo for the RPG-7 (for Leon) – 35,000 CP
  • Infinite durability on hatchets – 20,000 CP
  • Kotetsu (unbreakable knife for Grace) – 5,000 CP

4. Purchase Infinite Ammo for RPG-7 (Bonus)

As is Resident Evil fashion, you can also unlock infinite ammo for the RPG-7, the rocket launcher you can purchase, also on the Special Content menu. After you unlock it, you’ll be able to unlock infinite ammo for this particular weapon, as the regular infinite ammo does not apply to the RPG-7. Unlocking infinite ammo for the RPG-7 can also help you during speed runs; however, you need 35,000 CP to purchase it.

5. Enable Infinite Ammo in Settings

One last thing you need to make sure you do to use infinite ammo is enable infinite ammo in your settings. Toggle Infinite Ammo on in the Special Content interface in your settings. Not doing this won’t allow you to use infinite ammo even after you’ve purchased it in the Special Content menu.

Even if you’ve completed the main storyline of Resident Evil Requiem, there are still a bunch of things you can do if you feel you’re not done with the game just yet. The Special Content menu has many unlockable things, from infinite ammo to bonus weapons and upgrades to in-game cheats you can enable, which would make your next playthrough a lot smoother. Resident Evil Requiem has so much bonus content, so make sure to read up on guides to see what and how you can unlock them.
