Destiny 2 Guardian Games 2026 Event Guide
The battle of the three classes has returned to Destiny 2. Guardian Games is back and will be in the game until April 14th. With two months until the release of the next expansion, Guardian Games is one of the only events in Destiny 2 until then. The 2026 Guardian Games are similar to the previous editions. It is the first time the event will use the tiered weapon system.
The Guardian Games 2026 Event
Guardian Games pits the three Destiny 2 classes against each other. Players can earn medallions to contribute to their class’s cause. You can earn the medallions through completing activities with the Guardian Games Class Item and Eva’s cards. The medallions come in five tiers:
- Bronze
- Silver
- Gold
- Plat
- Diamond
Quest Steps
Upon launching Destiny 2 during Guardian Games, players must complete a quest to progress the event. The quest steps are as follows:
- Speak to Eva Levante in the Tower
- Purchase a Contender or Platinum Card
- Equip your Class Item
- Complete a Rushdown or Supremacy match to earn the first Medallion
- Speak with Eva in the Tower
- Deposit the Medallion in the Tower
- Claim the First Event Reward
- Speak to Zavala in the Tower
- Get the Shoot to Score questline
- Speak to Lord Shaxx in the Tower
- Get the Vying for Supremacy quest
- Speak to Eva in the Tower
The Shoot to Score and Vying for Supremacy questlines are similar but apply to different activities. Each week, players can earn points in the Rushdown and Supremacy events. The more points you earn, the better rewards you can earn from lighting torches in the Tower.
Rushdown is a PvE activity with two modes. The base Rushdown will have a set boss rotation for that day. Rush Remixed will have a randomized set of boss encounters. Each activity has five bosses. Supremacy is a PvP activity where players must collect crests from enemies and teammates. It is similar to Kill Confirmed from Call of Duty. The Guardian Games version has a twist. Players will team up with Guardians of the same class against opposing classes.
Weapons
Destiny 2 players can earn three weapons from participating in the Guardian Games event. Complete Portal activities, bank medallions, or light torch to get one of the three weapons. The weapons drop at a higher tier than they would normally. For example, if you drop tier 3 weapons, Guardian Games weapons are tier 4.
- Triple Laureate – Stasis Spreadshot Hand Cannon
- The Beacon – Solar Rapid Fire Fusion Rifle
- Keraunios – Arc Adaptive Frame Trace Rifle
Champ Seal
- In It To Win It
- Earn a Medallion from activity completions and bank it at the podium in the Tower for Rewards and class points.
- Boss Bully
- Defeat Bosses in any activity.
- Noble Aura
- Reach Event Rank 15.
- Supremely Forged
- Complete matches of Supremacy or Trials of Osiris. Earn bonus progress for winning matches.
- Victory Lap
- Complete Rushdown activities.
- High Voltage
- Defeat targets with final blows from Arc damage. Bonus progress for defeating other Guardians.
- Record Setter
- Complete Contender and Platinum Cards, which can be obtained from Eva Levante. Platinum Cards award more progress.
- Podium Terminus
- Complete Rushdown or Supremacy activities with a performance grade of B or higher.
- Teacher’s Pet (Gilding)
- Reach Event Rank 30.
- Going the Distance (Gilding)
- Bank Medallions at the podium in the Tower to contribute points towards your class standing! Higher-ranked Medallions grant more points.
- Divine Slayer (Gilding)
- Defeat bosses in Rushdown
- Hall of Fame (Gilding)
- Get an A-grade performance in Rushdown without dying. Also, complete a match of Supremacy with a score of at least 30.
