The Blue Road Netflix release is set for Nov. 20, with the cross-border crime thriller starring South Korean actor Son Suk Ku and Japanese actor Eita Nagayama, The Korea Herald reported.

Han Jun-hee, whose credits include the Netflix series “D.P.,” directs. The show adapts a webcomic of the same name, according to Netflix.

Blue Road Netflix release date and Busan screening

Three episodes will screen in the On Screen section of the 31st Busan International Film Festival, which runs Oct. 6-15, according to What’s on Netflix. It is one of five Netflix titles headed to the festival, along with Dead-End Job.

What to know about the Blue Road story

In the story, Tokyo police find a mutilated body marked with a message in Korean written in blood. Soon after, a second body turns up in South Korea with a message in Japanese, pulling detectives from both countries into a joint investigation.

Son Suk Ku plays a detective with the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency’s mobile investigation unit. Nagayama plays Inose, a detective in the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department’s First Investigative Division. Kim Shin Rok, Choi Sung Eun and Jung Jae Young also are in the cast.
