Animula Nook is a cozy life sim that shrinks players down inside a miniature version of their own bedroom, according to a Pocket Gamer preview. The game has no release date yet.
What Animula Nook offers
LilliLandia Games, which works under Tencent Games, is developing the title, according to Nintendo Life. The game’s Steam page says players shrink down and turn a desk into a whimsical world. They craft homes from everyday objects, grow oversized plants and explore woodland areas. Pocket Gamer described a pastel look and a calm soundtrack.
Hands-on details from the preview
Pocket Gamer’s Catherine Dellosa played the game at Tencent’s Shenzhen office. An early quest has players find a password on a Post-It note, then hop across keyboard keys to unlock a computer. Instead of standard tools, players use a lollipop to break items apart and a shrink ray to resize objects before collecting them.
Players can build furniture from items such as bottle caps and building blocks, though Dellosa noted that placing objects with touchscreen controls on mobile could be finicky. Wupas, the game’s blob-like companions, can be customized and help players glide across the oversized rooms. Dellosa said the miniature concept gives the crowded life-sim genre a fresh angle.
Animula Nook platforms and release
No release date has been announced, according to Steam and Nintendo Life. Reports differ on platforms. Pocket Gamer lists iOS, Android and Switch, while Steam lists Windows PC and Nintendo Life lists Switch 2. The Steam page also labels the game free to play, with online co-op and cross-platform multiplayer. Pricing details beyond that label have not been confirmed.
