Aidan Zingg, a rising star in the motocross world, tragically died on June 28 mid-race. He was just sixteen years old.

The 2025 Mammoth Motocross event took place in Mammoth Lakes, California, where Zingg was competing. According to DirtbikeLover, a huge industry source, Aidan Zingg “went down in a corner during the race,” where he was “reportedly run over by multiple bikes and remained unconscious on the track for two laps before the race was red flagged.”

As a result, he died from the traumatic injuries he sustained during the crash.

According to NBC Sports, in a show of support, 14 out of the 27 riders who finished the first race, including the winner, did not start the second race.
